Habits

Habits can affect people positively or negatively. A positive habit, such as regular exercise or healthy eating can have a great affect on your overall mental status, and on the flip side, a ‘negative’ habit can have an overwhelmingly severe affect too.

As individuals, what we see as a ‘habit’ will differ from person to person. For example, in a group of people who each bite their nails, not all of them will associate this as a ‘bad habit’, and so the individual thoughts and feelings surrounding this issue will differ greatly between group members.

Common ‘bad habits’ which hypnosis is regularly used for can be:

  • Nail biting
  • Thumb sucking
  • Smoking
  • Drinking
  • Narcotic use
